Dark Water Rising and Rebekah Todd at Southland Ballroom

Two powerhouse groups are joining forces tonight at Southland Ballroom. Dark Water Rising is a self-proclaimed "rocky soul" five-piece that never fails to impress.  Their in-depth harmonious sound comes from their Native roots with influences ranging from Sunday morning worship, to the Bee Gees, to Lynrd Skynrd. The band has released two albums to date, Dark Water Rising (2010) and Grace & Grit: Chapter 1 (2013).

Keeping on the soulful track, Rebekah Todd will be joining Dark Water Rising tonight.  Todd commands the deep and bluesy melodies of Susan Tedeschi. Her intelligent and accessible lyrics make her music identifiable to everyone. To gain more insight about Rebekah Todd, check out our previously posted interview and album review for Roots Bury Deep.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.  Head over to the Southland Ballroom website for more details.
