Midtown Bluegrass Series Continues with Flatt Lonesome

Energetic pickers, Flatt Lonesome will continue the Midtown Bluegrass Series tonight.  The group recently received word that they have been nominated for Vocal Group of the Year and Album of the Year for the IBMA awards, taking place right here in Raleigh in October.  This is no surprise, as they were dubbed the "Emerging Artist of the Year" at last year's IBMA awards show.  Their new album, Runaway Train, can be preordered now by visiting Flatt Lonesome's website.

See the promising young band on the stage tonight on the grassy lawn of Midtown Park.  The show starts at 5; chairs, blankets, and coolers are welcome, but leave your alcoholic beverages at home.  Midtown has you covered, with Southern BBQ and craft beer on site.
