MerleFest Spotlight: The Barefoot Movement

Combining ornate harmonies, thoughtful instrumentation, and enticing melodies, The Barefoot Movement is a must-see at MerleFest 2016.  In the last seven years, this Nashville-based three-piece has traveled cross-country, developed two full-length albums, and an EP.  This has gained them fans and recognition from across the world, including earning the Momentum Award in 2014, being named the "Band of the Year" by The International Bluegrass Association.

The Barefoot Movement's music can be both heart-felt and energetic with emotional ballads, foot stomping melodies, and everything in between.  As Noah Wall, Tommy Norris, and Alex Conerly gather around one single mic with their fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, the music takes the audience back to a simpler time - one before cell phones and social media.  The quaint harmonies summon listeners to sit back, relax, and forget all worries.

Join the movement at MerleFest on Saturday.  The Barefoot Movement will be playing the Americana Stage at 9:45 and the Walker Center Stage at 2.  Haven't purchased your MerleFest tickets yet?  Now's the time!  Visit the MerleFest website to purchase single and multi-day tickets.  The fun begins April 28 and continues until May 1.  Let the good times roll!
